Finance Minister is going through a series of amendments to simplify GST Compliance for MSMEs


According to Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance Minister, “the Goods & Services Tax (GST) has many kinds of amendments that may additionally make compliance simpler for the Micro, Small and Medium firms (MSME) sector.”

Key Amendments to Simplify GST:

Mrs. Sitharaman recounted: “seven legislations below indirect taxation are being amended to be certain higher simplicity, as she moved the Finance invoice within the Lok Sabha.” She said that amendments to laws are being made through the Finance bill in 5 principal categories, including in the GST.

Apart from seven Acts concerning oblique taxation being amended, the federal government would also be bringing changes to seven laws involving direct taxation.

The changes would make sure that indirect taxation-associated topic would have bigger simplicity and be effective, she said.

About the proposed amendments to direct taxation-associated laws, Sitharaman mentioned: “these are being executed for furthering the agenda of Make in India, adding the nation needs a lot more manufacturing activities.”

She pointed that as many as eight Acts bearing on economic markets, as well as SEBI Act, are being amended.
